For a lot of us, it happens so gradually that we don’t notice until one day we look up and don’t recognize our own life.
Now I get that it can be hard in this crazy, high-stress world we live in to find time to do something relaxing. But did you know that just by spending three minutes a day doing something creative, you are not only fulfilling a missing piece of your soul, but you are also lowering your stress?
You heart rate slows. The world doesn’t feel like such a dumpster fire. And you feel like you have a moment to breathe.
I remember vividly coming home from a photography job one day sobbing because I was so burned out and frustrated and overwhelmed. The one thing that had once brought me joy was now sucking my life dry. So I made a switch. I put down my camera and took up the keyboard and starting typing out my first story.
It was awful, but it brought me so much joy. Something I had forgotten.
It is for moments like that my friends and I started The Wild Muse Society. We wanted to create retreats for women who needed a break. To connect with like-minded ladies, and take a few minutes for herself so she can come back refreshed to take care of her family.
If this is you or you know someone who could benefit from this, check out

We’d love to see you at one of our events.
