I hope this post finds you warm, curled up in front of a fire with an excellent book in hand, and possibly some hot cocoa nearby. That is definitely where I want to be as we have a field of snow outside my windows at the moment.
As you sit there in your comfy spot, I want to ask you a question I asked of a ladies group I was invited to speak to recently.

What is that one thing you’ve always wanted to do, but never thought you could for one reason or another? (It’s OK to say it out loud. No one will mind too much).
What is it that’s preventing you from starting on it? (I hope nothing).
The reason I ask, is because I always had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to write a book. I had a story that had lived in my head since I was 15 when I dreamed about me riding my horse into a water-filled cave with glow worms that glittered like diamonds and a magical medallion I found at the bottom of the pool.
However, I never took a chance on writing until I was thirty and went on a work trip with my husband where I had hours of time alone and no one to spend it with. So I chose to buy a tablet and keyboard and start writing that story I’ve always wanted.
But it took me fifteen years to finally decide to do this! How long have you been waiting to try that one thing? I hope it hasn’t taken you as long as it took me to realize that the only thing standing in the way of you trying that new thing is you. YOU are the master of your time, YOU are the master of your fear, and YOU are the master of your money.
After I started that journey four years ago, I’m now writing to you as an author about to publish my third book. Imagine where I’d be if I had started the journey sooner. Looking back, however, I’m just glad that I started.
I hope you can experience the same thing for yourself. You never know what wonderful things will happen in your life if you allow yourself to follow your passion.
