When I start really diving into my next book, (which usually happens in the winter because my husband and I run a small farm,) I post less. Not only here on the blog, but on my social media as well, simply because all my efforts are being put toward prepping my next book.

And I’m really excited to share this next one with you, though it may not be what you think.

Earlier this year I pulled all my books from Kindle Unlimited, which is Amazon’s subscription library. This was a scary move because I was still getting lots of page reads on my books. Amazon pays me a penny for roughly every three pages read, which can add up with over 1,000 pages people might read.

However, by participating in this library, it kept me from going wide (selling other places besides Amazon) with my ebooks, which is ultimately where I want to be. My local library continually asks me when they’ll see my ebooks on Libby, so library patrons can read them. You can imagine how thrilled they were when I told them I’m getting my account set up in order to sell ebooks to libraries.

So if you’re a Libby user, by next year, your library should be able to purchase my books for you to read.

But for those of you who still like using KU, I’ve got something cooking up this spring that you’ll be able to find there. As none of my other books will be available there any longer, I wanted to allow new readers to still find my books.

I’m happy to announce that the first book I’m releasing in 2024 will be what used to be a short story that lived here on my blog, but has now been revamped and seriously expanded:

Coming in March 2024, I’m releasing THE FIRE DRAKE as a full-length novel!

This means more parkour style roof chases, adventure, and street rats, along with dangerous heists. Stay tuned as I’ll be dripping out details over the next several months!

For those of you wondering what’s going to happen with the rest of the Comstock Chronicles, I’ve got you covered.

THE FIRE DRAKE, which is being released as a prequel novel to the series, won’t be the only book released next year. I’m finishing up this series with two more books, called THE SIREN’S CALL (Book 4) and THE PHOENIX GAMES (Book 5).

Given that things don’t spiral out of my control next year, I’ll release both novels back to back in the Fall of 2024. So be on the lookout for launch parties, both virtual and in-person, book signings, and several giveaways.

Also, there is a secret project in the works that I can’t wait to share, but you’ll have to wait for updates on that until we get closer to its release date.

Other things to be on the lookout for will be new covers for the entire series. I’m teaming up with a local artist this time to bring original artwork to you and I’ll share more details as we get closer to releasing them.

So while there may be a lot of radio silence periodically from this author, you can guarantee I’m up to something. And it is VERY suspicious.
